HoMedics 5 in 1 TotalClean Air Purifier AP-T20 Small is rated out of 5 by 31.Rated 5 out of 5 by Nobby from Good fresh air all the time. Well worth the cost clean air no worries I only set it on the low setting .Date published: 2019-04-17Rated 5 out of 5 by marvellousmel from Cleaner air! I have been using the HoMedics Total Clean 5 in 1 Air Purifier for 5/6 weeks and I am loving it. Firstly, I must comment on its sleek and stylish design and the build quality is great. As soon as I turned the unit on I was impressed as to how quiet it was, hardly any noise at all and is not distracting if watching TV or listening to music. Although I clean the house regularly, dust particles still settle on surfaces within a day or so. I have noticed, after using the Air Purifier for a few weeks, there is definitely less dust settling on the surfaces. I also have two cats and the Air Purifier totally eliminates all nasty odours. I have also noticed that, after cooking, food smells are gone, especially if you use the essential oil tray. It has an auto turn off feature which is really handy if you forget to turn it off. The Air Purifier has definitely been a welcome addition to the house and will continue to be used on a very regular basis. I will be recommending it to family and friends.Date published: 2019-03-23Rated 5 out of 5 by mleafe from Clean air, great product First of all, you are struck by the build quality of the Homedics TotalClean Air Purifier. It is sturdy and actually quite stylish for a product of its kind. They've clearly thought about how it's going to look in somebody's living room or bedroom, and I don't think it looks out of place at all with all of the other electrical items we have in our home. It sounds very quiet overall, a light whirring when it's being used, but nothing that will affect you having a conversation, watching TV or listening to music. The in-built infuser is also a great feature, as it can help to mask odours in the home. My partner and I cook a lot and we use some quite pungent spices, so it's great to have the air purifier to freshen things up. It really does take away those lingering smells, and using a eucalyptus or lavender oil makes the flat feel instantly refreshed. One thing that is really attractive about the air purifier is its anti-allergy properties. My partner and I are fortunate in that we don't suffer from any allergies, but friends who have Honmedics products rave about the improvements they've noticed since using them. All in all a really great addition to our home. We live in a small-medium sized flat and the 'medium' version of the product is ideal for us.Date published: 2019-03-11Rated 5 out of 5 by ACookie92 from Great addition to our home This is the first time I have used an air purifier in my home and I cannot believe I’ve waited to long. I have waited for about a month since having it to leave a review, only to make sure I can report a real change since it’s been here. There are many of these purifiers on the market so I was happy to have a homedics one as they have a good reputation for quality. You can immediately see that this one is made with good quality materials, it’s sturdy and doesn’t have that cheap look of lower quality plastics. It’s designed well and doesn’t spoil the decor of your home. It’s also a great narrow shape so very easy to fit it discreet places. We have it conveniently situated behind a rocking chair in a small space between the fireplace and a window, and when it’s not on I wouldn’t know it was there! It’s very quiet too and personally, I find the low whirring it makes when on quite soothing. It’s a bit like the sound of a wall mounted air conditioner - constant but low. Now, we have 3 pets, condensation (at this time of year), cook a lot and a little dust so it was interesting to see what difference an air purifier makes. From the first few hours of having it on, the living room immediately has a more crisp air. It felt cleaner and clearer. I noticed that even after making curries the strong smell of the spices were not as long lasting in the living room (where our dining table is) as it was before we had this. This wasn’t something of great concern to us but it’s nice to not have the smells of food lingering long after it’s been cooked and eaten! I feel that the Air certainly have a cleaner quality to it now and only wish this could effectively work in all the rooms of the house but for now it’s certainly making a difference in one. I think I’ll need to have it a little longer to really confirm how much value for money it is as we are yet to change a filter. I also love the fact that I can use essential oils if I wanted to change the scent in the air. Although I have rarely used this it’s a nice option to have. I imagine when I next have a cold I’ll use eucalyptus oil with this as it’s amazing in relieving the effects of congestion. But so far, We are very impressed and would highly recommend this! Especially if you are affected by airborne allergies, which none of us are, but a friend who is to cat hair noticed a huge change in its effect on her when she visited our home.Date published: 2019-03-09Rated 5 out of 5 by HT95 from Best one i’ve owned!! I love this air purifier. The design is very simple and neat so it doesnt stand out too much in my living room. I live in a ground floor flat which is susceptible to damp and mould, and my humidity gauge tells me that humidity has reduced in my flat since starting to use this air purifier. I love the features this purifier has, such as being able to use essential oils in it. I have been thinking of getting oil diffusers for at home for a while now, so its really useful that this air purifier has this feature. It may be expensive for some people, however it has been very useful in my home.Date published: 2019-03-07Rated 4 out of 5 by cmcg from Clean air and removes damp I've been using this product for a couple of weeks and am really impressed with the quality of it. I use it in my bedroom and it effectively removes all the steam that comes out of the en-suite after a shower. My only issue is how much space it takes up.Date published: 2019-03-03Rated 5 out of 5 by Pebbles5 from Lovely fresh air! I started using this a couple of weeks ago. I live in a loft conversion, so my room gets stuffy very easily, but this makes it easy to get clean air, especially when there's dust flying around after cleaning. The lowest fan setting is quiet enough to ignore as background noise, while the others I reserve for when I'm not in the room. Great to have a timer so it turns itself off. Love the pad for essential oils. Clean and lovely smelling air!Date published: 2019-02-26Rated 4 out of 5 by Douglas_Dog from Robustly built, easy to use, great for allergies The unit comes securely boxed and pre assembled requiring no technical skills to get started. The robust build quality is immediately obvious, however compared to some of its competitors the design perhaps leaves a little to be desired. What it lacks in looks however it makes up for in a tonne of core features. In addition to the HEPA filter feautured in most air filtration units it has a carbon filter to remove nasty smells, bacteria killing UV-C technology, Ioniser which I found really helped with sensitive/dry skin conditions and essential oil tray for adding scents to the air - all for roughly half the price of my other air purifier! I use the purifier every night and would highly recommend anybody else suffering from allergies does the same, the fan is sufficiently powerful for most average sized bedrooms and I have had no trouble sleeping with the fan noise on the lower setting. Other than some slight aesthetic tweaks the only area in which I feel the homedics air purifier fails to exceed expectation is a lack of online functionality, hopefully remote control and air quality monitoring via smartphone is perhaps a feature they could look to incorporate in future models. Ultimately I feel the homedics 5 in 1 provides great bang for your buck and is the best choice available for anybody looking to improve their breathing, sleep and general well being.Date published: 2019-02-26
- Q & A
Just got a new unit and put it onto automatic mode but it seems to be running at 3 all the time. Is this normal or should it be going at different levels?Dear Wood, The button that you press to place the unit in automatic mode should light up. Depending on the air quality of the room the auto setting has 3 modes. The light should change colour: Green for setting 1 Yellow for setting 2 Red for setting 3. This is all done automatically by the units air quality sensor. If however your unit is showing a different colour but is still running on setting 3 please contact us directly on 01723 360 783 or email@example.com and one of our advisers will be happy to assist you.
