HoMedics Myspa Paraspa Plus Paraffin Bath is rated out of 5 by 37.Rated 2 out of 5 by MrsT from Too hot I had this for Christmas and have tried to use it tonight for the first time. I have arthritis in both wrists and thumbs and have hot wax treatment at the hospital. I turned it off to cool it down and it started to solidify and still too hot. Any suggestions to cool it down and keep the wax warm would be useful.Date published: 2020-12-27Rated 3 out of 5 by Chrisie from Wax therapy This product came as a gift. I had one years ago which was excellent so wanted a new one. I have wax therapy at nhs hosp for my Osteo arthritis which is helpful. Im disapointed that this one is far to hot. It would have been good to have a temp gage i will persevere by letting the temp drop unfortunatly its going to be a st and watch as, as it cools the wax starts to set at topDate published: 2020-03-23Rated 2 out of 5 by sitrep from Be aware After being made known by the hospital that wax baths were available for home use I bought this model. Sadly it was very hot. Customer Services were unhelpful in only delivering a ' Go back to the retailer' comment. There should be a meter showing the temperature or even a control to lower the heat slightly. Disappointed with Support Services attitude.Date published: 2020-03-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Fishermans friend from Easy to use and effective recommended Very pleased with purchase and effective product I recommendDate published: 2020-01-17Rated 5 out of 5 by Norris from Top marks for Homedics Great service, bought for my Mum to ease arthritis and dry skin. After testing, she agrees with a few other reviewer's comments about the wax being too hot, need to let cool a little before using, but she is happy. Homedics very helpful when I realised there was a postcode mix up.Date published: 2019-12-18Rated 5 out of 5 by Sapphire55 from Good size and quick to heat up I have used this unit several times now, it is amazing, I only wish it had a heat control on it as some clients find it too hot,Date published: 2019-11-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Fish64 from Helps with Physio I bought this after using an industrialone in a physio session. My physio told me they were available online and I found this one and I thought it looked quite professional. It does get a bit hotter than the one in the hospital, but I let it cool back a bit before I use it. It helps with the movement of my finger after having an operation to have it pinned back into place. Service was great as I ordered in the afternoon and it was delivered the following day. Would definitely recommend as it has several uses both medically and beauty therapy.Date published: 2019-10-24Rated 4 out of 5 by Maggles from Lush Excellent Product, put the wax in and let it melt, it does take around two hours so is not as quick to use as I expected. The wax seems to be hotter than that used in the hospital but it may be that I had forgotten. Comes with bags to pop your waxed hands into and all you need to do is wrap them in a towel and rest/do the exercises. Worried that I might not be able to unplug with waxed, bagged hands I was pleased to see it has an on/off button on the front which is easily activated. Really pleased I have this but would have preferred it to be ready to use in less than 120 minutesDate published: 2019-04-08
- Q & A
How often do I use the hand wax bath? no treatment instructions Dear Mrs T, We would advise not to be used more then once per day. There is no limit on how many days per week you should use it for as it depends form person to person. Just make sure the wax is at the right temperature and if multiple people are using it, please replace the wax after every use; if is just one person using it, you can reuse the wax, just melt it again. I have purchased a MySpa Paraffin Wax treatment product but have been unable to use it as the temperature is far too high for me to dip my hand. My partner also tried dipping his hand and found too hot to use. It did not cool. It simply solidified. Dear Jacqueline B, Please accept our apologies for your issue. We would kindly ask you to contact us directly on 01732 378 557 or email@example.com and one of our advisers will be happy to assist you. Kind Regards, The HoMedics TeamDate published: 2020-02-27

Why is it necessary to remove the grate every time I switch off the device? You state elsewhere that the unit is designed to leave running 24/7, which suggests that it’s ok to leave the grate in all the time. Dear Eliza, We recommend to place the grate into the unit when the paraffin wax is melted but should you not wish to remove it every time you switch off the paraffin bath, it is not strictly required.
