It gives a slow sweeping, gentle massage as it works through its cycle. With the cover on it gives a soft massage and with the cover pealed back you can feel it that little bit more. The cycle lasts about 30 minutes during which the massager will change direction a few times its relaxing and i actually fell asleep while using it. The massage went from the bottom of the neck to the top of my head but you do have to be positioned correctly on the cushion.I found this more relaxing when I wore an eye mask and listen to some relaxing sounds. While the device is quiet it is not silent. So I tried it the first time. It was a nice feeling, along the nape of the neck, it has a timer for 30 minutes. I actually fell asleep, I must of been relaxed. I liked this as I'm not that comfortable with people giving me massages etc... This gave me the same experience without anyone touching me. My hubby tried it too, he preferred it without the cover on, as it gave him extra pressure. The meditation pillow is comfortable to lay on and has rolling motors that rub again the neck to help you relax. I often suffer from pain in my nexlck or stiffness and this pillow really helped to relax the muscles. There is a tab on the side for essential oils, this is a fantastic idea. Just a few drops goes a long way and will last for hours. The motors will last for a few hours wirelessly but can also charge up whilst your not using it. Sometimes is can be alittle hard to find the right place for your neck if you have pain in one spot, bit one you get to the right area you can feel your stress melt away. I absolutely loved my experience with this Zen pillow and will continue to use it in the future. I love the modern style and the colour is great too. When turned on, the pillow is very quiet and you can hardly hear the motar. It fits perfectly to my head and shoulders and is extremely comfortable to use for longer periods of time. I really like that it has an auto shut off after 30 minutes, if you fall asleep it turns off! Is this suitable for people with pacemakers
